Tarcasso

Every couple of years the highway department goes up and down the roads with a vat of hot tar to patch cracks.  They did our road last summer and after four seasons and thousands of vehicles, their work has taken on the beauty of an Old Master.

Nobody Bot Me here. You have an eye for the unusual that's for certain and are correct to assume that one hundred percent of the people who drive County Road 8 everyday including weekends do not pay a lick of attention to the tar-drip designs in the road, not one, save you. Not even me.
However now that I've been alerted I will. I promise, on occasion, to stop to ponder these hot tar musings by erstwhile bored county highway workers. I see the first one as a science fiction illustration about a gigantic curious-minded dinosaur-type beast with long back legs; and another as a cartoon character with either boxing gloves or large breasts; one depicts someone putting fishing line onto a pole; another a simplistic drawing of a tree. I could go on and on, but I've not the time nor space to describe further what you've inspired in me, now that I recognize the possibilities. Maybe, just maybe you'll be seeing chalk drawings too there. watch for them!

Our highway department guys in Beaver Township most commonly express themselves by writing their girlfriend's first names on the pavement.
